Meet Cindy Vogels

Cindy Vogels acquired her first Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier in 1968. Under the Andover prefix, she and her mother, Jackie Gottlieb, bred over 100 American champions including top winners and producers. Mrs. Vogels has also raised champion Kerry Blue, Norfolk, Welsh and Australian Terriers, Brittanys, and Greyhounds. Past President and AKC Delegate for the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of America, she is currently President, and has served many years as show chairman, of Evergreen Colorado Kennel Club. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Take The Lead and is a past Board Chairman of the AKC Canine Health Foundation. An award-winning dog writer and AKC All Breeds judge, Mrs. Vogels has judged prestigious shows world-wide, including Best In Show at Westminster Kennel Club in 2012 and at Montgomery County Kennel Club (the largest Terrier show in the world) in 2008. Married to David for 50 years, the Vogels and their Toy Poodle and Pekingese live in beautiful suburban Denver, CO, close to their son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.
