The selection of a breeder is an important one. Our goal is to assist you in deciding if a Wheaten Terrier is a good fit for you and your family, to educate you on the breed and assist you in finding a breeder that adheres to the SCWTCA Code of Ethics. We encourage all prospective Wheaten owners to become familiar with our breed and our breeders by reviewing our About Wheatens on this website.

All of the individuals listed in the Breeders List are SCWTCA members in good standing and have agreed to abide by the SCWTCA Code of Ethics. Breeders may choose to list a recent litter or that puppies are expected soon; however, not all breeders choose to do so. If you are looking for a puppy, you may want to contact all breeders on this list in your area and nationwide. Use the interactive map below to find a breeder.

Important*** We know you may have gone on other puppy listing sites such as the AKC Marketplace or Good Dog to look for a Wheaten puppy. When you email a breeder from our Breeders Directory please respond to them. They are not just trying to sell you a puppy they are trying to make sure you are adding a breed of dog to your home that fits your lifestyle. They are not just selling a product and offering to ship or bring you a dog with no conversation.

Be careful. In regards to health testing Trust but Verify. Talk to the breeder. Find the dogs on the database and look at their health certifications. Respond to SCWTCA breeders who contact you. If you are on a list for a puppy and have made other plans please inform the breeder. 

SCWTCA encourages you to go to the SCWT Health and Pedigree Database to view the records on the sire and dam of a litter you are considering. Conscientious breeders update the hip certifications, eye certifications and DNA testing on their breeding stock.
